Crystal clear
Lies the river near
Listen, child
The sounds of hope
A silver necklace
A meandering mirror
Reflect on your thoughts, m'darling
'Cause dreams ain't enough.
Fluffy clouds above you
Lift your head up, m'dear
They're as innocent as you
White cotton candy
Pure miracles
If you could just reach high enough
The world would be yours.
Green, green grass 'neath you
Feel them, child
As tender as your soul
Mother Earth's embrace
Serenity a'plenty
But hold it, darling
They're as sharp as blades
'Cause the world ain't perfect.
Petals blossoming upon the flowerbed
Inhale the lovely scents, my dear angel
The smell of beauty
Thistles, tulips
Daisies and daffodils
Swaying thru' the breeze
Carressing the butterflies and bees
Is this heaven, Momma
No, darling
This is paradise
So beautiful you want to cry
